After reading the reviews, a friend and I thought we'd have a pop at the course after work.

I thought the course was astonsihing ! Astonishingly bad that is, I hadnt taken into account the last review was over a year ago.

I can only assume the grounskeeper has left, the greens (all 9) had massive bare patches on them and they had laid shingle (not sand) all over the greens (there were piles on the side) the balls my deviating everywhere.

The bunkers (what there were of them) were like concrete and were full of rubbish. The course itself was basic, most holes are exactly the same going up or down a slope, only the 9th has a water hazard or any thought.

They seem to have spent all there money on a log cabin to try and entice you into buying food and drink. I couldnt get away quick enough.

What did make me laugh was the obligatory bucket of old balls they were selling. 3 for £5 ? They were dunlops, pinnacles and top filtes from what I saw. Sport direct 12 for £6. ...reviewed on Jul 29, 2009

i work at this golf course and i think it is great. the prices for 18 holes are great too. what the owners of the course have done to the place is tremendous. a lot of the credit goes to the groundskeeper though as he works non-stop keeping the course tidy. No-one at the course and members of the public that have or still play here cant wait for the new clubhouse to become erect. Fab Course. Well Kept. Certainly not expensive. ...reviewed on May 09, 2008

As the approach road to the course is scruffy I didn't expect much of the course but as I went through the gate I was shocked. It's a little paradise that you would never expect. A well kept, tricky little course that would suit all abilities. There is to be a new clubhouse shortly as well, I can't wait. ...reviewed on Apr 28, 2008

Whilst the average golfer with some experience, would find this an acceptable course, this is a great course for those just starting out in golf, both junior and adult. The course is challenging but not intimidating and the fairways are wide enough to forgive those not so straight shots. ...reviewed on Apr 15, 2007
